Dedicated to celebrating, preserving, and sharing the history of the Italian presence in the United States, this innovative digital heritage map is now officially expanding into the New York area.

The official launch will take place at the Consulate General of Italy in New York on May 28, 2026, at 6:00 PM. Leading the initiative for the New York COMITES is Ornella Fado, Vice President of COMITES NY and Chair of the Communication and Events Commission, alongside Fabio Castagna, Project Curator and creator of the tracingITALIANroots© platform by GlobalMedia.

The platform is a free web app that requires no installation—accessible instantly with a standard internet connection. It is designed to showcase Italian identity in America through an innovative, interactive, and culturally impactful medium. With just a simple tap, users can explore a map woven from Italian stories, traditions, places, faces, and legacies. It offers an immersive journey through culture, art, culinary excellence, innovation, family memories, and ancestral roots, leading back to the small Italian villages where it all began.
