RESEARCH & EDUCATION

Our project expands every day thanks to a solid network of diplomatic institutions, cultural organizations, and local partners. Tracing Italian Roots is an innovative digital platform, co-funded and recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAECI) in collaboration with GlobalMedia, born as a special project and a model of excellence. Through a next-generation geolocated WEBapp, we transform the rigor of historical research into an engaging and educational storytelling experience. Thanks to our strategic partnership with the Italea portal (MAECI), we are building a direct bridge between Italian-descendant communities and their ancestral towns, making "Roots Tourism" a true academic discipline.

We aren't just asking you to "participate".
We provide a ready-to-implement, turnkey educational framework. High schools, Humanities faculties, and Italian Studies departments can easily integrate our platform into their existing curricula with zero technical friction:

- Public History & Field Research Labs: History, sociology, or anthropology students become active researchers. Their academic mission will be to map the local historical legacy-uncovering family archives, analyzing the impact of historic businesses, and mapping Italian-American architecture-bringing the community's unsung heroes to light.

- Internships & Academic Credits (Practicums): Schools and universities can establish agreements to award academic credits to students who catalog and input data into our platform, immersing them in a real-world, professionalizing workflow.

- Applied Italian Language & Culture Courses: Perfect for new generations studying Italian locally. Instead of stopping at theoretical grammar, students practice the language by translating local historical documents, interviewing elderly community members in Italian, and compiling bilingual records for the Archive.

Becoming a Research Partner means entering a fully supported ecosystem.
GlobalMedia provides all the structural support and direct access to our dedicated digital infrastructure. We will train your faculty, fellows, and students on scientific research protocols, source verification, and the technical input of records into the system.

Your students' discoveries won't just sit in a drawer or on a syllabus, they will become permanent, interactive milestones on our global map.

We are ready to co-design the perfect pathway for your academic or organizational reality. Send an email to Loading email address... indicating the name of your Institution, your city, and your department: our team will reach out to structure the educational program together.
