Following its success in Washington, the project now comes to New York. Next Thursday, May 28, at 6:00 PM, the Consulate General of Italy will host the presentation of tracingITALIANroots.NY. Originally launched through the initiative of the Washington COMITES and funded by the Directorate-General for Italians Abroad (DGIT) of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the project now arrives in New York to celebrate the stories, journeys, and heritage of Italians and Italian Americans in the Big Apple.

In New York, the initiative—which features a digital map documenting Italian and Italian-American contributions across the United States—is coordinated by Ornella Fado, Vice President of the COMITES and Chair of the Communication and Events Commission.
